A refurbishment included removal of the body from the frame, a repaint in Caribou Brown, and installation of a replacement 302ci V8. Additional modifications consist of a 2.5″ Wild Horses suspension lift and a floor shifter for three-speed manual transmission.

The stock six-cylinder engine was removed, and a 302ci V8 with a two-barrel carburetor was installed in its place. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

Bodywork have included replacement of the rocker panels prior to a repaint in Ford Caribou Brown with a contrasting removable hard top. I

The suspension has been modified using a 2.5″ Wild Horses lift kit with Bilstein shocks, allowing the uncut rear fenders to clear 31″x10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires on 15″ steel wheels with chrome covers.

The cabin is trimmed in off-white vinyl with black carpeting and features front bucket seats, a rear bench, lap belts, and a heater.

The shifter for the three-speed manual transmission was relocated to the floor, and electric windshield wipers were installed along with a Centech fuse panel.

A two-spoke steering wheel frames a combination gauge with a 100-mph speedometer and an odometer showing just over 800 miles, which represent the total added since completion of the project.
