This Kirkham Motorsports aluminum-bodied Shelby Cobra replica was built during 2020, and it is powered by a 427ci Ford side-oiler V8 paired with a four-speed Toploader manual transmission.
The 427ci Ford side-oiler V8 is said to feature 9.8:1 compression and was built by Gary Meier at Torque Power Engines, using a block sonic-checked for core shift and equipped with the following new components: J&E pistons and new rings, New valves, Crane valve springs, and a Comp Cams camshaft and hydraulic lifters, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, Clevite race main and rod bearings and timing chain, Melling oil pump, Ford Performance water pump, ARP fasteners, Refurbished dual 600cfm carburetors, Black powder-coated valve covers and air cleaner, New electric fuel pump, filter, radiator, alternator, hoses, and wiring.
Power is sent through a Tilton flywheel, a Centerforce clutch, and a refurbished four-speed Toploader manual transmission, and the exhaust is fabricated to replicate the factory Cobra street car exhaust system. An additional set of headers and side pipes is included in the sale, along with a CBAE9425-E single-carburetor intake manifold.
The car is finished in raw aluminum with wide fender flares, along with red, white, and blue over-the-top stripes applied using an exterior wrap material.
Equipment includes vintage-style decals, Lucas PL Tripod headlights, side mirrors, front and rear tow hooks, a driver-side roll hoop, and plexiglass sun visors.
Halibrand-style 15″ knock-off wheels are finished in grey with polished lips and wear Goodyear Eagle tires.
