This Mazda RX-7 R1 it subsequently underwent a refurbishment carried out by Rotary Performance that culminated in August 2022, which included installing a replacement twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary, fitting Tein coilovers, overhauling the cooling and fuel systems, and replacing the clutch, radiator, and brake components. Finished in black over black cloth upholstery, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, air conditioning, a decklid spoiler, pop-up headlights with replacement covers, and an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo connected to dual Alpine amplifiers and a JL Audio subwoofer.
The replacement twin-turbocharged 1.3L rotary engine was installed and fitted with an aftermarket downpipe in place of the pre-catalytic converter by Rotary Performance, as part of the refurbishment, and the car was equipped from the factory with a front strut tower brace and additional oil cooling as part of the R1 package. Additional work performed by Rotary Performance includes installing the following replacement components: Mishimoto radiator, Coolant hoses, Air separator tank, RP Competition fuel pump, Fuel filter, Remanufactured fuel injectors, Spark plugs, Oil pressure sending unit, Gaskets and seals, Vacuum valves and hoses, Battery cable and terminals, Drive belts.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The clutch and the clutch master cylinder were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
The car is finished in black and features a power-operated antenna, fender vents, dual exhaust outlets, pop-up headlights with replacement covers, and R1-specific front and rear spoilers.
Silver-finished 16″ five-spoke wheels wear 225/50 Falken Pro GS Sport tires. The R1 suspension components were replaced with Tein Flex Z coilovers, and additional work performed as part of the refurbishment included flushing the brake fluid and installing aftermarket cross-drilled brake rotors along with ceramic-compound brake pads.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black cloth with synthetic suede inserts. Appointments include air conditioning, power accessories, and aluminum clutch and brake pedals in addition to an Alpine stereo connected to component speakers, dual amplifiers, and a JL subwoofer. The air-conditioning system was recharged with R12 refrigerant as part of the refurbishment.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges.
The digital odometer shows 37k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
