This 1972 International Harvester Scout II was subsequently fitted with a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 and a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. The truck was repainted in green, and the interior was refreshed with brown and plaid upholstery. Additional equipment includes 17″ Vision wheels, Warn locking front hubs, four-wheel disc brakes, and suspension and shackle lifts in addition to a removable hardtop, an Old Air Products Hurricane climate control system, a RetroSound head unit, and aftermarket speakers. A Flowmaster muffler, power steering, and a Scouts Unlimited Farmall Deluxe rear bumper are also equipped.
The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was sourced from a 2006 Corvette, and equipped with an aluminum radiator, a Painless Performance chassis harness, and a BP Automotive engine controller kit. The 2.5″ exhaust system is fitted with a Flowmaster muffler.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels via a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a Dana dual-range transfer case with a Novak adapter. G2 differential covers are installed. The underside was coated and a replacement fuel tank was installed.
The truck was refinished in green with a matching removable hardtop. Metal for the front cab mounts was replaced along with the glass and weatherstripping. A chrome front bumper and a Scouts Unlimited Farmall Deluxe rear bumper are equipped.
Vision 17″ 351 Flow wheels wear Nitto A/T Terra Grappler G2 tires, and Warn front hubs are equipped. Suspension and shackle lifts are installed, and a rebuilt steering gearbox and a Straight Steer brace have been equipped. The four-wheel disc brakes have Wilwood components up front.
The front bucket seats and rear bench have been re-trimmed in brown with plaid inserts, and the brown carpets are fitted over sound-deadening material. The headliner is also lined in plaid. An Old Air Products Hurricane climate control system has been installed, and a RetroSound head unit is linked to aftermarket speakers. The rear cargo area houses a storage cabinet.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery status, and fuel level.
The five-digit odometer shows 2,900 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
