This 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado is finished in white over green vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 425ci V8 driving the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes 15″ chrome wheels, power steering, pop-up headlights, cornering lights, sequential rear turn signals, a barrel-style speedometer, air conditioning, power windows, and a push-button AM/FM radio. Service in preparation for sale have consisted of changing the engine and transmission oils, rotating the tires, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the master cylinder, brake hoses, fuel pump, and transmission pan gasket.
The 425ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 385 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque when new. Work in preparation for sale consisted of changing the oil and replacing the fuel pump. Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed TH425 automatic transmission. The transmission oil pan gasket and fluid were replaced. A reproduction window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, service manuals, and rubber front floor mats are included in the sale.
The car was finished from the factory in Porcelain White (X) and have been refinished in 1981. Cornering lights and sequential rear turn signals were added, and additional equipment includes chrome-finished bumpers, vacuum-actuated headlight motors, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Optimo H725 narrow-whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel wrapped in a period Uniroyal Laredo T-FD tire is housed in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted finned drums all around, and the car is equipped with power steering. The factory rear air shocks have been replaced with conventional units. Service in preparation for sale included rotating the tires in addition to flushing the brake fluid and replacing the master cylinder, four wheel cylinders, and hoses.
The interior features a front bench seat trimmed in green vinyl with color-coordinated door panels and carpets as well as a dark green dashboard. The car is equipped with air conditioning, a Wonder Bar AM/FM radio, a rear speaker, courtesy lights, vanity mirrors, and a power trunk release and windows.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits on a tilting and telescoping column ahead of a 135-mph barrel speedometer and auxiliary gauges.
