This Shelby Cobra is a CSX8000-series continuation model that is #11 of 50 examples produced by Shelby American to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the original Cobra 289 in 1962. The fiberglass body is finished in black paint over red leather upholstery, and power is provided by a 289ci V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional features include an Eaton TrueTrac differential, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, MSD electronic ignition, 15” chrome wire wheels with knockoffs, four-wheel disc brakes, and Stewart Warner instrumentation.
The 289ci V8 features an aluminum engine block, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an MSD electronic ignition, long-tube headers, and a front-mount oil cooler. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and an Eaton TrueTrac differential.

The fiberglass bodywork is mounted to a tube-frame chassis and is finished in black. Features include chrome bumpers with overriders, nudge bars, an egg crate front grille, wind wings, external hood locks, front fender vents, a Le Mans–style fuel filler, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15” wire wheels wear two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/65 Firestone Precision Sport tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with Shelby-branded calipers.
The cockpit houses low-back bucket seats upholstered in red leather accompanied by a color-coordinated dash cover and door panels. Features include a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, a passenger grab handle, Cobra 50th Anniversary carpeted floor mats, and an AutoMeter analog clock.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Stewart-Warner tachometer and 160-mph speedometer, while auxiliary gauges are located to the driver’s right.
