This 1956 Ford F-100 is a big window pickup and subsequently refurbished including removing the body from the frame and performing a repaint in cream yellow. Equipment consists of Mustang II front suspension components, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, chrome bumpers and side-view mirrors, a wooden bed floor, 15″ Cragar SS wheels, later-model tan leather seats, a Vintage Air HVAC system, a tilt steering column, power windows, and Dolphin instruments. Power is provided by a 351ci Cleveland V8 mated to floor-shifted C4 three-speed automatic transmission, and work performed in preparation for sale included refreshing the engine with gaskets, filters, fluids, a fuel pump, a starter, a camshaft, lifters, and rocker arms.
The 351ci Cleveland V8 breathes through a newer Edelbrock 650cfm four-barrel carburetor and intake. Work performed in preparation for sale included installing a camshaft, upgraded bearings, lifters, rocker arms, a battery, valve and timing cover gasket sets, and a starter. Additionally, the fuel system was drained and fitted with stainless-steel fuel cell along with a replacement fuel pump, lines, and filter.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system is fitted and features full-length headers, chrome tips, and Flowmaster mufflers.
The truck was repainted cream yellow in 2013 following metal work and a body-panel alignment.
Exterior features include chrome bumpers and dual side-view mirrors along with a wrap-around windshield and back glass, custom tailgate latches, a forward-tilting hood, and weathered wooden bed planks separated by chrome runners.
Chrome-clad 15″ Cragar SS wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra tires and measuring 235/60 up front and 255/60 out back.
The suspension is modified with Mustang II components up front and the rear end features leaf springs and drum brakes.
This example is equipped with a rack-and-pinion steering system and power-assisted front discs.
The interior have been refurbished in 2013 and is fitted with power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in tan leather with matching carpets and door panels.
Amenities include power windows, an in-dash Vintage Air HVAC system, a glovebox, and a Lokar shifter.
A three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a Sunpro tachometer and Dolphin instruments including a 140-mph speedometer with an odometer showing 2,900 miles.
