This 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner is finished in two-tone turquoise and white over a matching two-tone interior, and it is equipped with a retractable folding hardtop, a Continental kit, dual spotlights, reproduction Space Saver luggage, and more.
Power is supplied by a 352ci V8 mated to a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission and a 2.91:1 rear axle.
The FE 352ci V8 had an oil and filter change in preparation for sale, and additional servicing included a tune-up, a radiator flush, and replacement of the thermostat.
The body was repainted in the factory two-tone Indian Turquoise and Colonial White (DE) during a refurbishment conducted approximately 18 years ago.
Additional exterior features include chrome rear-wheel skirts, an extended rear bumper and a color-matched hard cover for the full-size spare, and dual front spotlights.
14″ steel wheels with chrome covers are wrapped in Goodyear Custom Super Cushion whitewall tires.
This example is equipped with power steering and power brakes.
The interior is upholstered in a turquoise and white two-tone motif described by Ford as “Radiant Turquoise Sof-Textured Vinyl Bolster and Turquoise Striped Nub Fabric w/ Silver Strand” (34), which corresponds to the door-jamb trim tag.
Additional amenities include Select Aire air conditioning, a four-way power front bench seat, and power windows.
“Galaxie” and “Fairlane 500” badges decorate the glovebox door; the model name was changed to “Galaxie Skyliner” partway through production for the 1959 model year.
The trunk compartment conceals the power-operated “Hide-Away Hardtop.”
A reproduction Space Saver luggage set fits in the rectangular area in the center of the trunk.
A two-tone steering wheel fronts a column shift lever and a factory instrument panel that includes a sweep-style 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges.
The five-digit odometer displays just over 7k miles.
