This 1957 Triumph TR3 is finished in red and is powered by a replacement 2,138cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The replacement 2,138cc inline-four was fitted with a refurbished cylinder head and the dual SU carburetors were rebuilt.
Features include 87mm pistons, a rebuilt distributor and water pump, a Macy’s Garage “hurricane” fan, and a PerTronix electronic ignition system.
The four-speed manual transmission and overdrive unit were rebuilt by Macy’s Garage LTD.
Additional work included installing a clutch and slave cylinder and power is routed through a rebuilt rear axle with a 3.71:1 gear ratio.
The 2018 British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and a build date of July 19th, 1957.
The car was refinished in Signal Red.
Work performed included filling rear-view mirror and luggage rack holes as well as conducting repairs to the hood, trunk lid, fenders, and quarter panels.
Vintage-style Lucas driving lights are said to have been installed in 2021, while additional exterior features include a tan convertible top along with Wingard rear-view mirrors, stone guards, and chrome bumperettes.
Painted 15″ 48-spoke wire wheels with two-eared knock-off spinners and Michelin XZX tires have been installed in preparation for sale.
The suspension and steering systems were rebuilt by Macy’s Garage LTD.
The interior was reupholstered in beige leather in 2021 as well as fitted with replacement wool carpeting, refurbished seat rails, door panels, seals, and a trunk bulkhead.
Features include a T7 Design heater installed in 2019 along with a wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, and lap belts.
The factory steering wheel is included in the sale.
Jaeger instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and center-mounted auxiliary gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows 4,400 miles.
The gauges have been refurbished in 2020.
