This is a 1972 Buick LeSabre Custom convertible, and power is provided by a rebuilt 455ci V8 mated with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. This triple-black example is equipped with a power-operated front bench seat, air conditioning, an aftermarket sound system, power windows, a black convertible top, and 15” Rally-style wheels.

The 455ci V8 was rebuilt by JMS Racing Engines in 2016. A Comp Cams camshaft have been installed at that time, along with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, TAPerformance “shorty” headers, FiTech electronic fuel injection, and PerTronix ignition components. The power steering system have been serviced and an oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that was serviced in 2016. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system that features Flowmaster mufflers.

The build sheet shows initial delivery to Chuck Ganger Buick of Cherokee, Iowa, and lists factory equipment and colors. An owner’s manual will accompany the car along with a Sloan-Longway report and a CD workshop manual.

The removed Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and Sonomatic AM radio are included in the sale along with a spare seat motor and all-weather floor mats.

The car left the factory finished in Regal Black (19) and features a replacement black convertible top.

The floors were replaced in 2015, and the left-front fender, door, and quarter panel as well as the decklid were refinished.

Work performed in 2022 have included ding repair before repainting the hood, fenders, doors, and parade boot covers.

Exterior features include quadruple headlamps, Moon Eyes chrome mirrors, and chrome bumpers.

The 15″ Rally-style wheels are mounted with 225/75 Hankook Optimo H254 white-stripe tires.

A full-size spare is located in the trunk.

Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats that have been reupholstered in black vinyl, and replacement black loop carpeting was fitted in 2022.

Additional appointments include a power-adjustable front seat, air conditioning, an electric trunk release, Dynamat and Dynaliner sound deadening, power windows, a Retro-Sound Model Two stereo system, aftermarket audio components, and a front armrest with dual cup holders.

The electric seat motor have been replaced in 2022.

Factory instrumentation consists of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.

The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 55k miles.
