The M10 inline-four was rebuilt to 2,130cc by Metric Mechanic, and is equipped with a 290° camshaft, dual valve springs, bronze valve guides, 92mm pistons, and a blueprinted oil pump with a bronze bore for the pressure relief valve.
Additional work consisted of rebuilding the distributor, re-coring the radiator, zinc-plating the hardware, and replacing the injection pump, alternator, starter, clutch master and slave cylinders, water pump, and fluids.
Work carried out consisted of replacing the engine mounts, voltage regulator, engine harness, and alternator.
Engine stamping 2761327 matches the chassis number.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Metric Mechanic five-speed manual transmission, a custom driveshaft, and a limited-slip differential.
A new clutch, lightened flywheel, and rear flex disc were also added during the refurbishment, along with a new exhaust system.
Equipment includes Maxtel headlights, round taillights, a sunroof, pop-out quarter windows, and chrome-finished bumpers with guards.
FPS 13″ alloy wheels wear 165-series Michelin XAS-FF tires.
The front and rear subframes were powder coated and the hardware was replaced, and the suspension features Koni shocks, H&R springs, and Ireland Engineering sway bars.
The brake calipers were rebuilt by PMB Performance of Murray, Utah, and the rotors, pads, and lines were also replaced.
The seats have been reupholstered in black Skai vinyl and the dashboard was renewed by Just Dashes of Los Angeles, California.
The rear parcel shelf and side panels were also recovered, replacement door panels were fitted, and the seat adjusters were re-zinced.
Equipment includes a heater, salt and pepper carpets, a custom driver’s heel pad, and a replacement Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.
A replacement three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph VDO speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a combination gauge for fuel level and water temperature, and a replacement quartz clock.
The instruments were rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer, and the five-digit odometer shows 50k miles.
The temperature gauge was recently repaired.
