This Backdraft Racing Cobra replica was built by TR-Tec of Durban, South Africa in 2016. The car is finished in silver over black leather upholstery and powered by a Ford Motorsport 427ci V8 mated to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a FiTech electronic fuel injection system, MSD ignition, a roll hoop, a carpeted trunk, Halibrand-style 18″ knock-off wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, side exhaust pipes, and front and rear quick-jack points.
The Ford Motorsport 427ci V8 was installed by SpeedFanatix of Lake Worth, Florida and was fitted with a FiTech Go EFI 4 fuel injection system with self-tuning mode and a hand-held touchscreen controller in March 2019 by Backdraft Motorsports. Additional equipment includes MSD ignition, an electric cooling fan, and ceramic-coated headers as well as an Optima battery mounted in the trunk. An oil change was performed in preparation for sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission. Manufacturer’s literature, a battery cutoff key, service records, two hats, several sets of keys, and the FiTech hand-held touchscreen controller are included in the sale.
The fiberglass body sits on a reinforced steel box frame and is finished in Mercedes Silver with white stripes with black borders.
