This 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 two-door hardtop was subsequent refurbishment involved installation of a 429ci Cobra Jet V8, a shaker hood, and Wilwood front disc brakes in addition to rebuilding the C6 three-speed automatic transmission and refinishing the body in blue. Other equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, 16″ Lincoln wheels, “Scarelane 500” graphics, dual exhaust outlets, a blue interior, Thunderbird-sourced front bucket seats, a push-button radio, and woodgrain interior trim.

The 429ci Cobra Jet V8 have been sourced from a 1971 Torino and is equipped with an MSD electronic ignition and a Champion Cooling radiator.

An oil change was performed in preparation for sale.

The letter C in the car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally equipped with a 289ci V8 topped by a two-barrel carburetor.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a C6 automatic transmission that was rebuilt in 2009.

A black shaker-style hood sourced from a 1971 Ranchero and custom “Scarelane 500” quarter-panel decals have been added, and the lower headlights were replaced with mesh grilles to enhance airflow to the engine bay.

Additional features include a pillarless roofline, black rocker-panel striping, chrome bumpers and trim, dual sideview mirrors, and dual exhaust exits.

Turbine-style 16″ alloy wheels sourced from a Lincoln Mark VII LSC are mounted with 225/60 Michelin tires up front and 235/60 Continental rubber out back.

A Wilwood Dynalite Front Drag disc-brake kit has been installed with 11.75″ solid rotors, drums are mounted at the rear, and the braking system also has line-lock capability.

The cabin features folding front bucket seats from a 1966 Thunderbird and a rear bench upholstered in blue with darker textured inserts complemented by a matching lower dashboard and door panels.

Equipment includes woodgrain door-panel trim, front vent windows, floor mats, a push-button AM radio, lap belts, and a locking glovebox.

A three-spoke Grant steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights.

A Sunpro tachometer has been mounted on the steering column, and additional Sunpro gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are located beneath the dash.

The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, true mileage is unknown.
