This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS is powered by a 5.7-liter LT1 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential, and it is finished in black over gray leather. Equipment includes 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a cold-air intake, a receiver hitch, power-adjustable front seats, dashboard and parcel-shelf covers, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 features sequential fuel injection and was factory rated at 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque in SS trim. An aftermarket cold-air intake and intake tube have been fitted along with blue coolant hoses, and the valve covers have been refinished in red. The plastic engine cover has been removed, and an aluminum shield has been installed in its place. Fluids services were performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.
The car is finished in black and features an SS-specific single-bar front grille, a trunk lid spoiler, dual turn-down exhaust outlets, and quarter panel badging. A receiver hitch has been added beneath the rear bumper cover.
Polished 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Kumho Ecsta Supra tires. The Impala SS was fitted with heavy-duty dampers, 12.1″ disc brakes, and a 1″ lower sport-tuned suspension when compared with the contemporary Caprice.
The cabin features power-adjustable front sport seats upholstered in gray leather with “SS” embroidered headrests joined by a color-coordinated center console, dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. Carpeted covers are fitted across the dashboard and on the parcel shelf.
The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level.
The digital odometer indicates 79k miles.
