Refurbishment work performed this 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer included refinishing the truck in red, replacing the faux woodgrain vinyl along with the exterior trim and seals, refurbishing the window mechanisms, installing Bilstein shocks, and overhauling the braking system. The truck is powered by a 360ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and additional equipment includes 15″ multi-spoke alloy wheels, a roof rack, a power-retractable rear window, air conditioning, and power-adjustable front seats trimmed in Honey leather and cloth.
The carbureted 360ci V8 was factory rated at 140 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and was overhauled in 1999. The radiator was re-cored in 2021, and the fuel lines and hoses were replaced and a remanufactured carburetor was installed during the same year. Service in preparation for sale included replacing the mounts and performing fluid services for the engine and transmission.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a Selec-Trac four-wheel-drive system using a shift-on-the-fly dual-range transfer case with a viscous coupling. The underbody was refinished in 2022.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a Yeti Tundra 45 cooler that has been finished to match the exterior of the truck.
The truck was factory-finished in Sebring Red (3B) and was repainted in 2022. Additional work included installing cherry oak faux-woodgrain vinyl and trim along with overhauling the side and tailgate window mechanisms, removing and refurbishing the bumpers, and replacing the exterior weather seals, grille, bumper nerfs, and gas cap. Additional details include fog lights, an electric rear window, and a bright-finished roof rack, mirror caps, and window trim.
Multi-spoke 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Kinergy ST tires, that were installed in 2023. A full-size spare is mounted to the underbody. Bilstein shocks and a replacement steering damper were fitted. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, the brake fluid reservoir, booster, and rubber hoses were replaced in 2021.
The cabin features Honey leather and cloth seat upholstery joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, a folding center armrest, air conditioning, a cassette stereo, replacement speakers, and a tilt steering wheel. Dynamat sound-deadening material has been applied behind the headliner, door panels, and rear panels, aluminum pieces were installed to reinforce the armrests and grab handles, the seat belts were replaced, and billet door lock knobs have been fitted. The air conditioning system has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and two combination gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage.
The six-digit odometer shows 96k miles.
