This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was stored from 1987 until 2012. Subsequent refurbishment have involved a repaint, rebuilding the 400ci V8, an overhaul of the brakes, and replacement of the headliner, alternator, and radiator. The car is finished in Chesterfield Brown over a black interior and equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a Positraction rear end with a 3.42:1 gear ratio, a shaker hood, 15” snowflake wheels, a Kenwood head unit with HD radio, and a Hurst T-handle shifter.

The carburetor have been rebuilt and the radiator, alternator, hoses, and heater core were replaced. A new battery was installed in 2023 and an oil change was performed in preparation for sale. The four-speed manual transmission features a replacement Hays clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing and sends power to the rear wheels through a Positraction differential.

A replacement windshield was also installed, and exterior features include Trans Am decals, a shaker hood with a Trans Am hood decal, fender vents, front and rear spoilers, and quad exhaust outlets.

Cast aluminum 15″ snowflake wheels are mounted with 255/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires.

The brakes have been overhauled, including a rebuild of the booster and replacement of the lines, front rotors, wheel bearings, and rear brake components.

A Hurst line lock was added and replacement Bilstein shocks and rear leaf springs were also installed.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear split bench trimmed in black vinyl along with matching door panels and carpeting.

The headliner was replaced during the refurbishment and amenities include a Kenwood HD radio, a Hurst T-handle shifter, and crank windows.

A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an engine-turned instrument panel that houses a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage.

The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles.
