This 1973 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible underwent a refurbishment which included repainting the exterior in yellow, retrimming the interior with multi-tone cloth upholstery, and installing a replacement 1,915cc flat-four.
The car is also equipped with a four-speed manual transaxle, a Bugpack shifter, a black soft top, chrome bumpers and trim, chrome 15″ Empi wheels, dual carburetors, a Pioneer stereo, Focal speakers, aftermarket bucket seats, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
The replacement 1,915cc flat-four was sourced from Gervais Engines.
It is equipped with dual carburetors, a remote oil filter, aluminum valve cover, a Berg deep sump oil pan, and chrome air cleaner covers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
The car features a “quiet pack” dual exhaust system.
Equipment includes a replacement black soft top with a matching boot along with chrome bumpers, side mirrors, bright side moldings, and polished exhaust finishers.
Chrome 15″ Empi eight-spoke wheels are mounted with Firestone F-560 tires up front and Vredestein Sprint Classic tires out back.
Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The interior features replacement bucket seats upholstered in tri-tone gray cloth with yellow accents, and color-coordinated trim covers the door panels.
The dashboard fascia is trimmed in gray cloth, and additional equipment includes a Bugpack shifter, sisal floor mats, manually winding windows, sun visors, a rearview mirror, a lockable glove box, and a Pioneer stereo with iPod connectivity and a separate amplifier powering Focal speakers.
The floor pans have been replaced.
A wood-rimmed EMPI GT steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock with an inset fuel gauge, and a tachometer mounted atop the dashboard.
The five-digit odometer shows 90k miles,true mileage is unknown.
