It underwent a refurbishment completed in 2014 by Thornton Auto Works, with work including a repaint in white, an interior refresh, and rebuilds of the engine and transmission.

The 455ci Rocket V8 was overhauled during the refurbishment, and sends power to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear axle.
