This 1972 GMC Jimmy was refurbished and is powered by a 6.0-liter GM V8 that is fitted with a Magnuson supercharger and is mated with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck has been refinished in orange and white over black leather and is equipped with a Dana 44 front axle, an Auburn limited-slip rear differential, Fox shocks, LED headlights, 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo.
The 6.0-liter V8 is based on an ATK Performance short block and features LS7 lifters, a Magnuson supercharger, a high-volume fuel pump, an aluminum radiator, Doug Thorlex headers, and an American Autowire harness and fuse box. It was installed by Speed Sports in February 2024. A plastic fuel tank has also been installed.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a New Process dual-range transfer case. The truck features a Dana 44 front differential, locking front hubs, and a 12-bolt rear end with an Auburn limited-slip differential. Hooker Super Competition exhaust components have also been added.
The truck underwent a refurbishment around 2020, at which time the panels were replaced and the truck was refinished in orange, while the chrome trim was refreshed and the white accents were added in 2024. Features include quad LED headlights, dual side mirrors, a black roll bar, Supercharged LS badging, LED taillights, and side steps. A Softopper soft top is included in the sale.
Aftermarket 15″ Rally wheels are wrapped in 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums with a Hydroboost system. The lifted suspension incorporates Fox shocks and an upgraded front sway bar.
The cabin was refreshed in 2024 and features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in TMI-sourced black leather with quilted stitching. A Pioneer Bluetooth head unit has been added to the dash and is linked to Pioneer speakers, while a quartz clock is located overhead.
Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a 260-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.
The digital odometer shows 2,400 miles since the completion of the build and can be toggled to show a MPH speed readout.
