This 1972 K5 Blazer CST 4x4 underwent a multi-year refurbishment completed by RustyK5, in 2023. Work included refinishing the truck in red-orange and white, fitting Mar-K exterior trim, and powder-coating the seat frames before fitting replacement foam and orange and white Highlander-style covers. Power is provided by a rebuilt 350ci V8 that drives the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a PosiTraction rear differential with 3.73:1 gearing. The truck rides on an OffRoad Design lift kit and 15″ steel wheels with 35″ BFGoodrich tires. Additional equipment includes a removable hardtop, Holley Sniper fuel injection, front disc brakes, air conditioning, and a retro-style stereo.

The truck left the factory finished in red-orange and was previously finished in black prior to being sandblasted and repainted in the current orange-and-white scheme between 2021 and 2023. Additional work completed during this time included installing Mar-K woodgrain trim and moldings and Altman door latches as well as replacing the doors, rocker panels, tailgate, tinted glass, and rubber seals. White-painted 15″ steel wheels wear chrome covers and are mounted with 35×12.5″ BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Manually locking hubs are fitted up front. The power-assisted front disc brakes and finned rear drums were fitted with AC Delco components during the refurbishment.

The seat frames were sandblasting and powder-coated and replacement seat foam was fitted before the front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in white and orange Highlander-style covers during the refurbishment. Further work included replacing the floors, control knobs, wiring, lighting, and internal hatch components. Appointments include air conditioning, a retro-style stereo, a center console, and CST badging.

The two-spoke steering wheel sits on a tilting column and frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, battery charge, coolant temperature, vacuum, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 737 miles, true mileage is unknown.
