The 396ci V8 was sourced from a 1966 Chevelle and was rebuilt by Grant Springer Engines.
Replacement internal components include a steel crankshaft and a Stage 2 camshaft, and the engine features an Edelbrock intake and carburetor as well as a finned aluminum air cleaner housing and valve covers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a rebuilt TH400 automatic transmission, a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73:1 gears, and replacement axles and wheel bearings.
Further updates include a Belltech suspension kit with 4“ drop spindles and replacement shocks and springs.
A spray-in liner was applied, and additional equipment includes dual mirrors, body-side moldings, a black tonneau cover, and a dual exhaust system.
Staggered-width 20″ Ridler wheels feature a chrome finish and are fitted with Delinte Desert Storm II tires measuring 245/45 in the front and 275/40 at the rear.
Disc brakes are fitted up front, and finned drums are installed at the rear.
The bench seat, door panels, and sun visors are upholstered in black vinyl with orange houndstooth fabric inserts, and the floors are protected by black carpeting and matching floor mats.
A vintage-look aftermarket stereo is installed in the factory location, and the truck is equipped with power steering and power brakes.
Factory instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge, as well as optional oil pressure, charging, and coolant temperature gauges as shown on the option sticker in the glovebox.
