The replacement 1,776cc flat-four have been rebuilt and line-bored .020” over in January 2021.

The wiring harness was replaced during the refurbishment, and features include rebuilt 041 cylinder heads, twin 40mm Dellorto carburetors, 90.5mm pistons and cylinders, an Engle 110 camshaft, balanced rotating assembly, German SVDA 034 distributor, S&S Rally exhaust system, and a CB Performance oil pump with a spin-on oil filter.

The Odyssey battery was installed around two years ago, and an oil change and valve adjustment were performed in preparation for sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that was installed in place of the factory AutoStick gearbox in the early 1990s and rebuilt in 2021.

The rear floor pans was replaced in the 1990s, while work during the refurbishment included coating the top half of the pans with POR 15 and spraying rust inhibitor inside the heater channels.

Staggered-width 15” staggered-width Fuchs-style wheels feature chrome spokes and are mounted with Continental ContiProContact tires sized 165/60 up front and 195/65 out back.

A matching spare is housed in the front storage area.

Braking is through front discs with rear drums that have been overhauled during the refurbishment.

The car rides lower than stock on drop spindles and a 2” narrowed front beam.

The cabin have been lined with sound deadening material and reupholstered with black vinyl seat covers and door panels along with matching carpets protected by Coco mats.

Equipment includes a JSC shifter, shoulder belts for front occupants, and a stereo with Bluetooth connectivity wired to BOSS speakers in the kick panels.

A wood-rimmed Flat4 three-spoke steering wheel with a Porsche crest center cap sits ahead of a body-color metal dashboard housing a 90-mph VDO speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and a VDO Kienzle analog clock.

The five-digit odometer has rolled over at least once and shows approximately 700 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
