This 1971 Chevrolet El Camino was built at the General Motors Leeds plant in Kansas City, Missouri, in February 1971. Subsequent work consisted of rebuilding its 402ci V8 as well as refurbishment of its black vinyl interior, exterior trim, suspension, and brakes. The 402ci V8 have been rebuilt 3,500 miles ago in 2010 with a .020″ overbore as well as replacement 9.0:1 compression pistons, rings, bearings, valves, and springs. A new connecting rod, camshaft, hydraulic lifters, timing chain, GM HEI distributor, ignition components, and alternator were also added. Additional work included refreshing the three-row radiator as well as changing the water and fuel pumps, radiator hoses, fan clutch, and battery cables. Features include a TH400 automatic transmission, a 2.73:1 Positraction rear end, a black vinyl roof cover, a cowl hood, bucket seats, a tilt steering column, and power-assisted steering and brakes.

The body was finished in Antique White from the factory, and was repainted at some point prior to 1988.

The cowl hood features black racing stripes and hold-down pins, and black vinyl covers the roof.

Work included replacement of the turn signals, brake and reverse lights, lamp housings, headlamp rings, mirrors, bumpers, bed rail and tailgate trim, windshield, window moldings, and SS emblems as well as refurbishing the wheel well openings, upper tailgate trim, and door handles.

Five-spoke 15″ wheels feature chrome trim rings, lug nuts, and center caps, and are mounted with 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

The wheel well liners have been replaced with painted steel versions.

The suspension and power-assisted steering system were disassembled, refinished, and fitted with replacement ball joints, tie rod ends, A-arm bushings, control arms and sway bar bushings, hydraulic front shocks, and rear air shocks.

The brake master cylinder, vacuum booster, front calipers and rotors, rear drums, wheel cylinders, and hoses were also changed, and the emergency brake system was rebuilt.

The interior features reupholstered black vinyl bucket seats and was fitted with a replacement center console, carpets, sill covers, horseshoe shifter, door panels and handles, fasteners, rearview mirror, and knobs.

The air conditioning system have been converted to run R134a refrigerant with a replacement compressor, expansion valve, and drier.

A replacement 1970-style steering wheel frames a round speedometer as well as tachometer flanked by four additional gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows 1,600 miles.
