This 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was refurbished and modified in 2018, and it is powered by a GM 5.3-liter L33 Vortec V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It is finished in beige over black vinyl upholstery, and further equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, a removable hardtop, a suspension lift kit, 17″ Method wheels, and manually locking front hubs as well as a Warn winch, a roll bar, KC running lights, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital instrumentation, short-tube exhaust headers, and an aluminum radiator.

The 5.3-liter L33 Vortec V8 was installed during the refurbishment and features an LS1 intake manifold, short-tube exhaust headers, and Corvette-branded fuel-rail covers. Additional equipment includes a fabricated air-intake system, an aluminum radiator, and a custom-fabricated engine wiring harness.

Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and front and rear axles that were sourced from a 1978 Land Cruiser. A custom-fabricated exhaust system is installed, and the truck is said to be equipped with 4.11:1 gears.

The body was removed from the frame and repainted in Dune Beige during the refurbishment, at which time sheet metal repairs were performed. The firewall was modified to accommodate a later model-sourced steering box, the frame was painted black, and bedliner material was applied to both sides of the floor pan. Additional exterior details include a removable hardtop with a white roof, H4 headlights, KC running lights, a CCOT winch bumper with an 8k-lb Warn winch, and a single exhaust outlet.

Black-finished 17″ Method wheels feature simulated beadlocks and are mounted with 315/70 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires, while a matching spare is mounted to the swing-away rear carrier. The truck is equipped with power steering and Warn manual locking front hubs as well as a suspension lift kit and an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums that were sourced from a 1978 Land Cruiser.

The interior houses front bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery along with inward-facing rear jump seats trimmed in gray, and additional interior appointments include body-color sheet metal, Vintage Air climate control, a Bluetooth-capable sound system, a roll bar, lap belts, and a locking storage compartment mounted under the front seats.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage.

The digital odometer indicates 6k miles since the refurbishment was completed. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
