Work included machining the engine case, re-plating the hardware, rebuilding the cylinder heads, reconditioning the crankshaft, connecting rods, camshafts, rockers, cam housings, and upper valve covers, and replacing the pistons, cylinders, cam chains, chain guides, and cam sprockets. Both Weber IDT carburetors were also rebuilt, and a Carrera oil pump, Carrera oil-fed chain tensioners, and Turbo valve covers were installed.
The five-speed manual gearbox was also rebuilt. Work included replacing the syncros, the bearings, and the 1st/Reverse shift fork. The flywheel and clutch assembly were also replaced, and Dansk heat exchangers were installed.
