Work on this 1970 Plymouth Superbird included repainting the front clip and rebuilding the engine as well as replacing the clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, hoses, vacuum lines, and ignition and suspension components. The car is finished in white over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 440ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a nose cone, a rear wing, a black vinyl roof, satin-black graphics, flip-up headlamps, power steering, a four-barrel carburetor, power-assisted brakes with front discs, 15″ Rallye wheels, and a push-button AM radio.

The 440ci V8 have been rebuilt in 2019 and features a four-barrel carburetor, a dual snorkel air cleaner assembly, electronic ignition, and an orange engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. The distributor cap, ignition wires, resistors, voltage regulators, hoses, and vacuum lines to the headlights were replaced nd a fluid service was performed in preparation for sale.

Based on Plymouth’s mid-size Road Runner model, the 1970-only Superbird was redesigned for NASCAR competition, which required Chrysler to produce approximately 2,000 examples for homologation.

Features include an aerodynamic nose cone, fender vents, chrome exhaust outlets that exit below the rear bumper, a black vinyl roof, a tall rear wing, hood pins, and model-specific decals.

The 15″ Rallye wheels wear chrome beauty rings and are mounted with F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GT white-letter tires, and a spare tire is mounted in the trunk.

The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The tie rods, ball joints, rubber bushings, wheel bearings, shock absorbers, and rear leaf springs are said to have been replaced.

The cabin features high-back bucket seats with black vinyl upholstery and contrasting piping joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, console, door panels, and carpets.

Equipment includes a center console with faux woodgrain trim, a pistol-grip shifter, a heater and defroster, a push-button AM radio, polished door sills, and crank windows.

The three-spoke steering wheel with a Road Runner horn button frames a tic-toc-tach tachometer with an inset analog clock, a 150-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.

The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 43k miles.
