This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is powered by a 454ci LS6 V8 linked with a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. Refurbishment work completed in 2015 have included a repaint in green with white stripes as well as a chassis overhaul. Equipment includes a cowl-induction hood, SS badging, bench seating, an AM radio, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 14″ Sport wheels.

The LS6 454ci V8 was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque and features a cowl induction system, a four-barrel carburetor, and an aluminum intake manifold. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential.

The factory build sheet indicates delivery to Central Chevrolet Co. of Fremont, California, and lists equipment and options including the SS 454 package and LS6 V8 engine.

The car was refinished in Forest Green with white stripes as part of the refurbishment completed in 2015, and features include a cowl-induction hood, a black grille, a driver-side mirror, hideaway windshield wipers, and chrome bumpers.

The 14″ Sport wheels are mounted with reproduction F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include an AM radio, a Muncie-branded shifter, and a cabin heater. The front seat bottom cushion was replaced during the refurbishment.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and warning lamps.

The five-digit odometer shows just under 50k miles.
