This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired in 2008 following a refurbishment that included a repaint in black as well as installation of a replacement 461ci V8, a TCI three-speed automatic transmission, and a Kenny Thomas Racing Positraction rear axle. Additional equipment includes 15” wheels, front disc brakes, four-into-one tubular headers, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a B&M floor shifter, a cowl hood, SS badging, chrome bumpers, and front and rear spoilers. Work performed in preparation for sale included replacing the battery and changing the oil.
The replacement big-block V8 was rebuilt by B&B Engines with a 0.030” overbore that increased displacement to 461ci. The crankshaft have been ground at that time, and additional modifications include a COMP Cams camshaft, a Holley 800cfm four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and 9.5:1-compression pistons. The battery was replaced, and an oil change was last performed in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TCI TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Kenny Thomas Racing Positraction rear axle with 3.08:1 gearing. The car is equipped with four-into-one tubular headers exiting into a dual exhaust system.
The car left the factory finished in Butternut Yellow with a black vinyl top and was repainted in black. Exterior features include SS badging, a cowl hood, dual side mirrors, chrome bumpers, and front and rear spoilers.
Chrome-finished 15” wheels are mounted with 205/60 front and 235/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The sway bars have been fitted with polyurethane bushings, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums out back.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include a B&M floor shifter, a JVC AM/FM cassette stereo, front lap belts, and Camaro-branded floor mats.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a clock flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. An aftermarket tachometer and water temperature gauge are mounted under the left side of the dash.
The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
