This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was rebuilt and modified as part of a multi-year project that was completed in 2011.
The body was repainted in blue with white stripes and modified with shaved door handles and side markers, a reshaped rear bumper, and tubbed rear wheel wells.
The replacement 502ci GM V8 was bored and stroked to 555ci and built with Brodix Race-Rite RR BB-R cylinder heads, 9.4:1 Keith Black pistons, and an Eagle stroker crankshaft.
Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection was installed in 2020, and additional work during that time included welding the rear exhaust mounts, removing and modifying the fuel lines for improved routing, and replacing the starter, intake manifold gasket, cylinder head gaskets, engine mount shims, and distributor cap and rotor.
A modification spreadsheet indicates the following components have been installed: SCAT I-beam connecting rods, Eagle billet pulley, Edelbrock water pump, Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold, Competition hydraulic roller camshaft and roller lifters, Hedman Elite headers, MSD ignition, Aluminum radiator.
The Muncie M-21 four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt in September 2020 and fitted with a replacement Centerforce 2 clutch and steel flywheel by Silverdale Transmission & Automotive.
The car is equipped with a Positraction differential, and the fluid was changed in preparation for sale.
Work performed by Bremerton Transmissions and Automotive in August 2022 included replacing the clutch and throw-out bearing, and resurfacing the flywheel.
Originally finished in blue, the car was modified during the build with shaved door handles, sidemarkers, and badging, along with rocker panel extensions and a re-shaped rear bumper.
A repaint was carried out in a Dodge Viper shade of metallic blue with white stripes, and a patch panel was added to the left front fender while the right front fender was replaced.
Additional features include a billet grill, a rear lip spoiler, cowled hood, bullet-style side mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, and remote door poppers.
Chrome E-T Dragmaster wheels measure 14” up front and 15” out back and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires sized 215/60 and 295/50 respectively.
The rear wheel wells have been tubbed and Summit Racing subframe connectors and Competition Engineering traction bars have been added.
Braking is through Master Power power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
Work included installing adjustable front coilovers and front and rear sway bars, modifying the rear axle housing, removing the lowering blocks, and replacing the upper and lower control arms, rear leaf spring bushings, and inner and outer tie rods.
The cabin has been reupholstered and houses seats trimmed in black vinyl with matching door panels and loop carpets.
The dash pad was replaced, and equipment includes a center console, a Hurst shifter, lap belts, and a touchscreen controller for the fuel injection system.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of AutoMeter instrumentation that was installed and includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
The digital odometer shows 62 miles.
