Subsequent work included metalwork followed by a repaint in black, reupholstery of the interior, and the installation of a 383ci V8 mated to a rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
Bodywork ave included media-blasting the bed, cab, and doors along with installing a reproduction hood, inner and outer fenders, tailgate, core support, and grille as well as a replacement windshield and rear glass.
Repairs have been conducted to the lower sections of the cab, and the side-marker lights were shaved.
The body was epoxy primed and repainted in black basecoat/clearcoat.
The front and rear chrome bumpers were replaced along with the weatherstripping.
Chrome-finished 16″ six-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Defender LTX tires.
The rear ride height is lowered approximately 5″ using drop coils, replacement shocks, and a C-notched frame, while the front is lowered 2.5″ using drop spindles along with replacement shocks, ball joints, and tie-rod ends.
The braking system was fitted with discs at each corner along with a replacement booster, master cylinder, and lines, while the power-assisted steering system received a replacement gearbox and hoses.
The bench seat was fitted with replacement upper and lower foam inserts before being reupholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts.
Additional work performed have included replacing the window regulators, rebuilding the vent window mechanisms, and installing a firewall pad, gray carpets, sound deadening, sun visors, a dash pad, a turn signal switch, air conditioning, and a B&M floor-mounted shifter.
Audio components include an Alpine double-DIN touchscreen stereo, a dashboard-mounted speaker, and 6×9″ speakers inside the cab corners.
An aftermarket steering wheel frames replacement vintage-style gauges including an 8k-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer.
The digital odometer shows 600 miles.
