Work included refinishing the exterior in yellow, refurbishing the interior, and installing a 4.3-liter GM V6 mated to a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range twin-stick transfer case.
The GM 4.3-liter V6 was was installed in place of the factory inline-four during the build and is fitted with an Edlebrock intake manifold topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
Further additions include a 15-gallon fuel tank sourced from a Jeep model, a Champion aluminum radiator fitted with an electric fan, and shorty-style headers linked to a single exhaust system.
Power is routed to the rear, the front, or all four wheels through a B&M-sourced 700R4 automatic transmission, a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case, an open Dana 30 front axle, and a Dana 44 rear axle equipped with an Auburn Gear limited-slip differential and 3.73:1 gearing.
Features include removable white-finished hardtop, aftermarket bumpers, and a rear-mounted swing away tire and Jerry can carrier.
The CPT suspension kit utilizes a rear sway bar, reverse shackles, and Bilstein dampers, and the truck rides on 16″ Mickey Thompson wheels fitted with Toyo Open Country tires.
Manually-locking hubs are equipped up front, and the truck is also equipped with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes equipped with a hydro-boost system.
An application of textured bedliner coating covers the interior of the bed, and the factory saddle fuel tanks have been removed and converted to storage compartments accessible through doors in each side of the bed.
The interior is outfitted with adjustable and heated Corbeau bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery, which are accompanied by shoulder belts mounted to the painted roll bar.
An application of LizardSkin liner covers the cab floors, and further additions include a B&M shifter, twin-stick transfer case shifters, and a locking center console housing an Alpine stereo.
Replacement Isspro gauges are mounted in a fabricated metal bezel and include an 80-mph speedometer and a six-digit odometer indicating 15k miles have been driven since completion of the build.
