Subsequent work involved a repaint in blue in addition to refurbishing the removable fiberglass hardtop, replacing the power steering pump, and installing a Wild Horses suspension lift kit with Bilstein shocks as well as front disc brakes and 17″ US Mags wheels. The truck is powered by a replacement 289ci V8 mated to a replacement three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential. The truck is equipped with power steering as well as manually locking front hubs, and a Wild Horses suspension lift kit was installed under current ownership along with Bilstein shocks and power-assisted front disc brakes. The power steering pump was replaced.
