This 1967 Pontiac GTO is one of approximately 7,000 sports coupes produced for the model year. The car is finished in white over turquoise vinyl and powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. A refurbishment have been completed in the early 2000s, and it included refinishing the exterior, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding the engine and transmission. Equipment includes 14” Rally I wheels, air conditioning, front disc brakes, an AM radio, power steering, and a center console with a Hurst dual-gate shifter.
The 400ci V8 breathes through a four-barrel carburetor and features a blue engine block and intake manifold as well as a chrome air cleaner lid and valve covers. The engine was rebuilt in November 2000, and replaced components are detailed in a handwritten service receipt shown in the gallery. An MSD electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, and full-length exhaust headers with a dual exhaust system are fitted.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
The body was finished in Cameo Ivory at the factory and it was refinished. Details include GTO badging, blue pinstripes, a hood scoop, stacked vertical headlights, chrome bumpers, and bright finished rocker and wheel opening trim, and a hood tachometer has been added.
Rally I steel wheels with trim rings measure 14″ in diameter and are wrapped in Firestone-branded redline tires. A full-size spare and jack are mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs in the front and drums at the rear. The front suspension and brakes were refurbished and air shocks were added to the rear.
The cabin is reupholstered in turquoise blue vinyl with a color-coordinated dash, carpeting, and door panels, and the dash and full-length center console are accented with woodgrain trim. Lap belts are equipped for the front and rear passengers, and amenities include a Hurst dual-gate shifter, bucket seats, air conditioning, and an AM radio.
The wood three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a hood-mounted tachometer, a fuel gauge, warning lights, and a Rally clock. Autometer oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature gauges are mounted below the dashboard.
The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k miles, total mileage is unknown.
