This 1967 Chrysler 300 convertible underwent refurbishment work from 2002 to 2005 that involved refinishing the body in yellow, reupholstering the black vinyl trim, and servicing electrical and mechanical components. Power is supplied by a 440ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes wheel covers, whitewall tires, a power-operated retractable black top, chrome bumpers, dual exhaust, air conditioning, power steering, and a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo.
The 440ci V8 was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Service and refurbishment records will accompany the vehicle along with 1967 purchase documentation and a December 2012 issue of Mopar Collector’s Guide magazine that features this car.
Chrysler manufactured 1,594 examples of the 300 convertible for the 1967 model year. This car was repaired and refinished in yellow during the aforementioned refurbishment, which was performed by Totally Auto Inc. Features include a power-retractable black convertible top, quad headlights, cornering lights, chrome front and rear bumpers, vent windows, rear fender skirts, and a dual exhaust system.
Steel 14″ wheels wear turbine-style covers with 300-branded centers and are mounted with 8.85-14 BFGoodrich Silvertown bias-ply tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel drums.
The front and rear bench seats were reupholstered during the refurbishment. Silver trim accents the dashboard, and equipment includes air conditioning, an AM radio in the factory location, and a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo mounted below the dash.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and alternator current.
The five-digit odometer shows 22k miles.
