This 1966 Ford Mustang is an A-code fastback that was built at the San Jose, California, plant with GT equipment.
The interior has also been refreshed in gold and white, and power comes from a replacement 289ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
Features include fog lights, rocker stripes, dual exhaust, front disc brakes, power steering, and a retro-style radio.
A-code cars received a 289ci V8 with a four-barrel carburetor from the factory, and the original engine was replaced.
Power is delivered to the wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
A blank Ownercard will accompany the car along with an owner’s manual and the removed trim tag. A replacement trim tag has been affixed to the driver’s door and features a body style code of “63B” in lieu of the removed tag’s “63A”. The trim code was also changed to 68 from 26.
Features include rocker stripes, quarter louvers, chrome-finished bumpers, fog lights, a GT fuel cap, and dual exhaust outlets that terminate through the rear valance.
Styled 14″ steel wheels wear chrome trim rings and are mounted with red-stripe bias-ply tires.
The unassisted brake system utilizes a single-reservoir master cylinder, front discs, and rear drums.
The car is also equipped with power steering.
The trim tag indicates that the car received standard black upholstery from the factory, and the cabin has been reupholstered in gold and white with Deluxe-style seat covers.
The tan carpeting is protected by Mustang-emblem floor mats, and a console separates the front seats.
A retro-style radio has been installed.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer flanked by four auxiliary gauges plus a 6k-rpm tachometer and analog clock mounted to the steering column.
The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, true mileage is unknown.
