This 1965 Lincoln Continental is one of approximately 3,400 convertibles built for the model year and bears a DSO code of 84.

It is finished in light blue over white leather and powered by a 430ci V8 paired with a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a power-folding soft top, front disc brakes, a 3.25:1 rear axle, power accessories, and a push-button radio.

The 430ci V8 is fitted with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

Service in preparation for sale has included replacement of the battery, spark plug wires, fuel filter, and starter solenoid, along with the installation of a re-cored radiator and an ignition tune-up.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and a factory 3.25:1 open rear end, the latter of which was not a regular production option for Lincoln models.

A new exhaust system was installed in 2011.

This four-door convertible was built on July 12, 1965 at Ford’s Wixom, Michigan assembly plant and is finished in Huron Blue Metallic (Q).

Features include rear-hinged rear doors, a power-folding white soft top, quad headlights, chrome front and rear bumpers, and bright lower bodyside moldings.

Factory 15″ steel wheels wear Lincoln-branded full covers and 235/75 Cooper Trendsetter white-stripe tires that were installed in preparation for sale.

A matching spare tire was mounted at the same time and is stored under a fitted cover in the trunk.

Equipment includes power-assisted steering and power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin is trimmed in white leather with blue accents (12) and features matching door panels along with wood-grain trim and a blue dashboard and carpets.

Amenities include a power-adjustable front bench seat, front and rear armrests, power windows including the vent windows, an analog clock, and an AM/FM radio.

The door window switches were replaced in 2019, and the dimmer switch and right front window regulator were replaced in 2020.

The color-coordinated three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature.

The five-digit mechanical odometer shows under 52k miles.
