This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is powered by a 327ci L75 V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Daytona Blue over Red vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels with spinner-style hubcaps, a Positraction rear end, R134a air conditioning, an AM radio, and concealed headlights. The car was disassembled in 2007 and the body and frame were repainted, the engine was rebuilt, the suspension and brakes were overhauled, and the interior was reupholstered.
The 327ci L75 V8 was rebuilt in 2007. It was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel and made 300 horsepower. The engine stamping includes sequence 3104771, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s serial number. The SD suffix corresponds with a 300-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with an automatic transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and an optional Positraction differential.
The fiberglass body was removed from the frame and repainted in the factory Daytona Blue in 2007. The frame was also blasted and repainted. Features include flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
15” steel wheels feature spinner-style hubcaps and were mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin was reupholstered in the factory red vinyl in 2007. The carpets, seat covers, door panels, armrests, and steering wheel were replaced. Amenities include aftermarket R134a air conditioning, a heater, an AM radio, and lap seatbelts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles.
