This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe was first sold at Star Chevrolet of East Orange, New Jersey. It received Bloomington Gold and NCRS Top Flight and Duntov Mark of Excellence awards following refurbishment work completed in the early 1990s. The car is powered by a 327ci L76 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is refinished in Silver Blue over dark blue vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ turbine-style wheels with three-eared knock-off spinners, a Positraction differential, an AM/FM radio, and concealed headlights.

The 327ci L76 V8 was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel carburetor and a high-lift camshaft for a factory rating of 340 horsepower, and it was rebuilt in 1989. The carburetor was rebuilt in 2020 and the radiator was replaced in 2022. The crankshaft input roller bearing was replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

The engine stamping includes sequence 114230, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s serial number. The RE suffix corresponds with a 340-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Positraction differential have 4.11:1 gearing. A Hays clutch disc and 10.5″ pressure plate and replacement exhaust pipes, hangers, and mufflers were fitted in 1989. The clutch fork was replaced in preparation for the sale.

The fiberglass body was factory-finished in Silver Blue (912), and it was removed from the frame and refinished in 1991. Additionally, the bumpers were re-chromed, and the top surround panel, side fender panels, parking lamp panels, lower nose panel, lower valance panel, bonding strips, and grille moldings were replaced with factory parts. Features include flip-up headlamps, quad tail lamps, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. The headlight motors have been rebuilt around 2020.

The 15″ turbine-style wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners, and they are wrapped in 205/75 Michelin X Radial tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums with metallic shoes. The removed master cylinder and wheels are included in the sale.

The cabin was refurbished in 1991 and features two bucket seats upholstered in dark blue vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. A refurbishment of the instrument cluster was completed in 1989.

The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, total mileage is unknown.
