This 1962 Triumph TR4 was completed on June 14, 1962 and delivered new to Standard Triumph Motor Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The car underwent a refurbishment in the mid-1990s and was driven in the 2014 Copperstate 1000 rally. It is powered by a replacement 2,138cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in black over red leather upholstery. Equipment includes a body-color Surrey top with a removable roof panel, dual SU carburetors, front driving lamps, a Nardi steering wheel, and 15” wire wheels.
The replacement 2,138cc inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
The British Motor Industry Heritage certificate shows the factory colors, options, and identification numbers.
Finished from the factory in Black, the car was repainted during the refurbishment and features red pinstripes along with a body-color Surrey top with a removable roof panel. Driving lamps are affixed to a front badge bar.
Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with 165-width Michelin X Radial tires. A matching spare is housed in the trunk. Braking is via front discs and rear drums.
The seats were reupholstered in red leather with white piping during the refurbishment, and additional details include black carpets, Triumph-branded rubber mats, and lap belts.
A Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a white-finished dashboard housing Jaeger instrumentation that includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a central cluster of auxiliary gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows approximately 60k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
