This 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible was restored between 2014 and 2015 with a repaint, a reupholstered interior, and a mechanical overhaul, and following the seller’s acquisition the black soft top and upholstery was replaced. The white-over-red convertible is powered by a 430ci V8 linked with a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with a power-operated top, power steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, polished wheel covers, a power-adjustable front bench, power windows, an AM radio, and air conditioning.
The 430ci V8 was factory equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and was rated at 300 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and a rear axle with 2.89:1 gearing. The car was mechanically overhauled as part of the 2014-2015 restoration.
The car was finished from the factory in Sultana White (M) and was repainted between 2014 and 2015. The power-operated black convertible top was replaced, and the car also has rear-hinged rear doors, a left-side mirror, a retractable antenna, a Lincoln hood ornament, and chrome bumpers and trim.
The steel wheels wear polished covers and bias-ply narrow whitewall tires. Power steering was standard, and braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The car was ordered with red leather upholstery. The air-conditioning system was modernized during the refurbishment, and the car also has a power-adjustable front seat and a push-button radio. The rear window lifts were repaired.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.
The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles.
