This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 283ci V8 topped with dual four-barrel carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in white over red, the car is equipped with a removable hardtop, a white convertible soft top, a dual exhaust system, lap belts, and 15″ steel wheels with full covers and whitewall tires. A cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was completed in 2014.

The 283ci V8 was factory equipped with an aluminum intake manifold, dual four-barrel carburetors, and a high-lift camshaft, and it is accented with a chrome air cleaner lid and finned valve covers. The carburetors were rebuilt and tuned in September 2023. The CU suffix is consistent with a 283ci V8 rated at 270 horsepower and designated for a 1961 Corvette with two four-barrel carburetors, a high-lift camshaft, and a manual transmission.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A replacement dual exhaust system was installed.

The car is finished in white and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a white soft top. Additional features include quad headlights and taillights, color-matched coves, and polished bumpers and trim.

The 15″ steel wheels wear full covers with simulated knock-off spinners and are mounted with reproduction 6.70-15 Firestone whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.

Bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl and divided by a body-color central panel. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, an analog clock, and red lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level.

The five-digit odometer shows 2,400 miles, total mileage is unknown.
