This 1958 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite is powered by a supercharged replacement 1,275cc inline-four mated to a retrofitted Datsun five-speed manual transmission and is finished in yellow over black upholstery. Equipment includes a removable black soft top, 13″ Minator alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a high-torque starter, an electric fuel pump, and dual side mirrors. The car underwent refurbishment work.
The 1,275cc inline-four have been sourced from a later-model Sprite. A supercharger has been fitted as well as a high-torque starter and an electric fuel pump, and a top-end overhaul was carried out in 2013. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Datsun-sourced five-speed manual transmission from Rivergate Restoration Products.
This first-year Bugeye Sprite is offered with side curtains, a black tonneau cover, tools, a removed chrome front bumper, and manufacturer’s literature.
Early production Bugeye Sprites featured a chrome windshield frame supported by body-color posts and nine-button top snaps. This example is finished in yellow and received a replacement driver-side front floor pan and a repaint. Exterior details include a black removable soft top, side screens, and top boot along with bright trim, dual side mirrors, and a single exhaust outlet. The removed front bumper is included in the sale.
Silver-finished 13″ Minator wheels feature reflective orange tape stripes and are mounted with Bridgestone Insignia SE 200 tires. A front disc brake conversion has been carried out with drums remaining in the rear. The master cylinder was replaced in preparation for sale.
The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black upholstery with yellow piping and accompanied by a color-coordinated dash panel, side door pockets, and carpets. Sheetmetal surfaces are finished in body color and appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, “Sprite” dash badging, and black rubber floor mats.

The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, true mileage is unknown.
