This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is finished in Dusk Rose over white vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 312ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Work consisted of overhauling the transmission, rebuilding the power steering hoses, and replacing the carburetor, oil pan gasket, and starter solenoid and motor. Equipment includes a removable white hardtop, rear fender skirts, 14″ wire wheels, power steering and brakes, under-dash air conditioning, electric windows, and a cassette radio.
The 312ci V8 is equipped with a dual exhaust system, a polished air cleaner, and finned valve covers. The starter motor and solenoid were replaced along with the carburetor and oil pan gasket in August 2020. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission that was overhauled and resealed in May 2021.
The car was finished from the factory in Dusk Rose with a Colonial White removable hardtop equipped with porthole side windows. Additional features include a retractable white soft top, hood scoop, fender vents and strakes, wing windows, chrome bumpers, tail fins, and rear fender skirts with stone guards.
Wire-spoke 14″ wheels with faux-knockoff spinners are wrapped in 7.50-14 Firestone Deluxe Champion wide whitewall tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four wheel drums. The power steering hoses were rebuilt in May 2020.
The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in white vinyl along with stainless steel trim accenting the dashboard and door panels. Under-dash air conditioning has been added, and amenities include a cassette radio, a floor-mounted shifter, and power windows.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with a clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.
The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, total mileage is unknown.
