This 1957 Ford Thunderbird was acquired in 1961, and modifications in the 1990s included installing a 400ci Chevrolet V8, a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, front and rear 1988 Corvette suspension, engine cradle, power steering rack, ABS system, and braking components, air conditioning, Lamborghini Espada seats, and as well as replacing the valve springs in 2020. This blue-over-blue example features a Haartz convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, Koni shock absorbers, power windows, power brakes and steering, Holley HP multi-port fuel injection with ignition control Hooker headers, and a custom dual exhaust system.
The replacement 400ci Chevrolet V8 was installed in the late 1990s and features Holley HP multi-port fuel injection with ignition control, a polished air cleaner assembly, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, Edelbrock finned valve covers, electronic ignition, and Hooker headers. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission.
A custom dual exhaust system with Edelbrock RPM Series mufflers is installed.
