This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door sedan has been restored and painted two-tone green, the 265ci V8 and Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission have been rebuilt. The interior has been re-trimmed in turquoise vinyl and fabric upholstery and fitted with a RetroSound digital stereo with Bluetooth capability. Additional work is said to have included of overhauling the brakes and suspension, replacing the wiring harness, and installing a dual exhaust system.
The 265ci V8 was bored 0.030” over and the 283 Power Pack cylinder heads were refurbished as part of the aforementioned engine rebuild. Additional work is said to have included the installation of hardened valve seats, chromoly piston rings, cast pistons, and a replacement wiring harness, valve springs, and rocker arms. Two spare cylinder heads are included in the sale.
The Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt in February 2022 by Frank’s Automatic Transmission. The differential has been fitted with replacement bearings and seals. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system. A protective undercoating has been applied to the underbody.
The car was finished from the factory in two-tone Sherwood Green and Pinecrest Green (702D) and was repainted as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. The body mounts, weatherstripping, and glass are said to have been replaced and the brightwork was refinished at that time.
Turquoise-finished 15” steel wheels wear bright covers and are mounted with whitewall tires. A matching spare is stored in the trunk. The seller states that the suspension was refreshed and the brake system was overhauled with a replacement master cylinder, drums, shoes, lines, and wheel cylinders.
The cabin was reupholstered by George Fimbres Custom Interiors, in turquoise vinyl and fabric trim sourced from Ciadella Interiors. An undercoating was applied to the floors prior to the fitment of replacement green carpets and mats. A RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth connectivity was installed and the window winding mechanisms were replaced as part of the interior work.
A green three-spoke steering wheel with a bright horn ring frames a replacement 110-mph speedometer with readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level.
The five-digit odometer shows 17 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
