This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is powered by a 292ci V8 mated to a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
A subsequent refurbishment included an engine rebuild, converting the car to a 12-volt system, and installing an electric windshield wiper kit, as well as the replacement of the fuel tank, seat belts, switches, battery, tires, and more.
Equipment includes two-tone upholstery, a body-color removable hardtop, a folding soft top, 15″ steel wheels with full covers, and an AM radio.
The 292ci V8 was rebuilt by Tune Tech with additional work including an overhaul of the carburetor and replacement of the following components: Oil gaskets and seals, Spark plugs, Battery box assembly, Voltage regulator and generator, Oil pressure switch, Oil pressure and coolant temperature sending units.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The fuel tank has been replaced.
Features include a body-color removable hardtop, an egg crate-style grille, faux fender vents, and tail fins.
Steel 15″ wheels with full covers are wrapped in replacement Coker Classic whitewall tires.
Work performed also included replacing the tie rods and shock absorbers as well as the steering gear and power-assistance ram.
Equipment includes Thunderbird-logo floormats and an AM radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 900 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
