This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pickup was refurbished three years ago. The work included a repaint in black and maroon as well as installation of a replacement 216ci straight-six, which is mated to a three-speed manual transmission. A replacement bed, bumpers, emblems, door handles, and glass were fitted, and overhauls of the braking, suspension, and steering systems were carried out.

The replacement 216ci straight-six have been sourced from another 1950 Chevrolet pickup and features a 12-volt electrical conversion with an alternator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, which was inspected along with the stock differential.

The frame has been powder coated, and the fuel tank and sending unit have been replaced.

The maroon and black finish was applied using PPG Deltron 2000 paint following metal repairs in the cab, fenders, and hood.

Additional work included installation of a new grille, bumpers, emblems, and a reproduction wood-floored bed from LMC Truck.

Body-matched 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings as well as Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires.

The springs have been re-arched, the suspension bushings and steering linkage have been replaced, and the braking system has been overhauled with new drums, shoes, hydraulic cylinders, lines, and hardware.

The cabin has been repainted in gray and features a bench seat reupholstered in maroon vinyl.

The glass and door handles have been replaced, electric windshield wipers were installed, and a rubber mat was fitted over the floor.

A stock steering wheel remains present, and an Everlasting turn signal switch has been added to the column.

The steel dash houses instruments which have been rebuilt and include a combination fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and temperature gauge as well as a 90-mph speedometer.

The five-digit odometer was reset during the refurbishment and shows fewer than 100 miles, TMU.
