This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a CST example, a refurbishment of the truck that was carried out between 2020 and 2023. Work involved refinishing the body and frame, reupholstering the front bucket seats and rear bench in dark tan Nappa leather, installing an Edelbrock carburetor and exhaust headers, and overhauling the braking, suspension, electrical, and air conditioning systems. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is further equipped with a Positraction rear differential, manually locking front hubs, and gray-finished 17″ wheels mounted with 35″ Yokohama tires as well as power steering, Rancho shocks, a white removable hardtop, a receiver hitch, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Pioneer head unit connected to aftermarket speakers.
The 350ci V8 was fitted with an Edelbrock open-element air cleaner, carburetor, and exhaust headers along with a Magnaflow muffler as part of the refurbishment. The wiring harness and the air conditioning system have been overhauled at that time, and an oil change was carried out in preparation for sale. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Positraction rear differential. The frame was scraped, sanded, sealed, and refinished as part of the refurbishment.
The aforementioned refurbishment included repainting the body in orange and the removable hardtop in white as well as replacing the glass, gaskets, badges, and various trim pieces. CST models received chromed bumpers and bodyside moldings, and additional exterior details include an exposed fuel-filler cap, a receiver hitch, and a single polished exhaust outlet.
The replacement 17″ wheels are finished in gray with polished accents and were mounted with 35×12.50″ Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires as part of the refurbishment. The braking system, comprised of power-assisted front discs and rear drums, was overhauled at that time. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, Rancho shocks, and power steering.
The front bucket seats, rear bench, and door panels were reupholstered in dark tan Nappa leather as part of the refurbishment. The interior features body-colored accents and is further appointed with color-coordinated carpeting, a center console, door armrests, sun visors, bright control knobs, air conditioning, and a Pioneer head unit connected to aftermarket speakers.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, battery charging, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, true mileage is unknown.
