This 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 was purchased new from the Marshall Motor Company. A refurbishment was completed in 1992, while additional service performed in 2015 included the installation of replacement driver-side floor pans and torque boxes as well as a rebuild of the replacement transmission. The car is finished in red with gold side stripes over black vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a 428ci Cobra Jet V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.00:1 Traction-Lok rear axle. Additional equipment includes power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, 15″ five-spoke wheels, a black convertible top, driving lights, air conditioning, a roll bar, woodgrain interior trim, a push-button AM/FM radio, and a tilt-away steering column.

The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 features a four-barrel carburetor, Ram Air induction, and finned valve covers. It was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. The water pump was replaced in October 2015. The replacement three-speed C6 automatic transmission was rebuilt in October 2015 and the car is also equipped with a Traction-Lok rear axle with a 3.00:1 final drive.

The Elite Marti report lists factory colors, equipment, and a production date of May 27, 1969, while the reproduction window sticker shows delivery to the Marshall Motor Company.

The car was delivered from the factory in Candyapple Red (T), and received rust repairs and replacement sheet metal at R&D Auto, before it was repainted in its current red in 1992. The brightwork was also re-chromed at that time. The torque box and driver-side floor pan were replaced by Cars Autobody & Service in 2015. Equipment includes Lucas fog lights, a vented hood with NACA-style hood inlets, gold side stripes, color-keyed racing mirrors, a power-operated black soft top with a glass rear window, quarter panel vents, Cobra quarter panel badges, a retractable antenna, and central exhaust outlets. Replacement convertible top cylinders were installed in August 2017.

Five-spoke 15″ wheels with polished lips wear black Shelby center caps, and they are mounted with 235/60 front and 295/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A space-saver spare is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. An overhaul of the brakes that included the installation of replacement front calipers, rotors, pads, rear wheel cylinders, shoes, and drums as well as a fluid flush was performed in September 2018.

The cabin features high-back front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl in 1992. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, center console, and doors, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, a push-button AM/FM radio, a roll bar, a wood shift knob, a padded center console, and shoulder belts for the front occupants.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-away column, and it fronts an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges displaying fuel level and coolant temperature. Gauges in the center stack indicate amperage and oil pressure.

The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles.
