This Porsche 356 Speedster replica was built in July 2023 by Vintage Motorcars. Finished in dark blue over beige vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by an air-cooled 2.3L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a beige soft top, driving lights, 15″ aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and dual Kadron carburetors along with VDO instrumentation, square-weave carpeting, heated seats, and a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo.
The air-cooled 2,332cc flat-four have been assembled by Pat Down Performance. It has an 8.2:1 compression ratio and is equipped with dual-port cylinder heads fed by dual Kadron carburetors. Additional equipment includes 94mm pistons, a VM2 camshaft, a CB Performance Magnaspark ignition system, a 26mm Schadek oil pump, and an external oil cooler with an electric fan.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a Freeway Flyer four-speed manual transmission with a 3.44:1 ring and pinion and a lightweight flywheel.
The fiberglass body is finished in Dunkleblau and mounted to a modified Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Exterior details include a beige soft top, a single-grille decklid, driving lights, Euro-style teardrop taillights, dual exhaust outlets, and gold-finished Porsche, Speedster, and 1600 Super badging. A pair of side curtains and a top boot will accompany the car.
Vintage 190 15″ aluminum five-lug wheels wear chrome-finished hubcaps and are mounted with 195/65 MOMO Outrun tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features heated low-back bucket seats upholstered in Beechwood vinyl that extends to the dashboard, rear parcel shelf, and door panels. German square-weave carpets line the cabin and the front trunk, and additional features include a Vintage Speed shifter, a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo, a chrome-finished right-side grab handle, door panel map pockets, aluminum pedal covers, lap belts, and Coco floor mats. A parking brake handle is mounted under the dashboard.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears a Porsche-branded horn button and frames green-letter instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph GPS-based speedometer, a central tachometer, and a combination gauge displaying coolant temperature and fuel level.
The digital odometer shows 41 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
